Welcome to our website from all the staff, children and committee of Swimbridge Pre-School.
About Us
Swimbridge Pre-school has been in operation since 1984 and serves the rural community and surrounding areas of Swimbridge, near Barnstaple. Occupying the lower Old School Room behind Swimbridge Church. We are a registered charity, managed by a voluntary parent committee and are self-funding. We are registered with OFSTED and limit our numbers to 12 children per session taking children from the age of 2 until school age.
How we are run:
The Pre-school is managed by a Voluntary Parent Committee, which is elected on an annual basis. We are lucky to have an active and enthusiastic committee, who work alongside the staff and other parents, meeting roughly every term. The committee are elected by the Swimbridge Pre-school parents and elections take place at our Annual General Meeting every October.
The committee is responsible for managing Pre-school’s finances, employing and managing staff, making sure that the Pre-school has, and works to, policies that help it to continue providing a high-quality service. Being part of the committee is a great way to have an input into the running of the Pre-school. If you would like to get involved, please let us know. Our current committee are:

All committee members are also DBS checked.
Fundraising
As a small, charity-run preschool, we rely on fundraising and community support to enrich the children's experiences. Throughout the year we hold a number of fundraising events and community activities, and welcome families and supporters to get involved where they can.
